Juva R. Atkinson

Juva R. (Trausch) Atkinson, 85, was a resident of Riverview Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor, OH and formerly of Sandusky, OH died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH. She grew up in Willis, MI after being born June 5, 1927 in Edon, OH to the late Raymond and Stella (Willoughby) Trausch. On September 21, 1946 she married John E. Atkinson who preceded her in death April 13, 2003. Juva worked for many business over the years as a Secretary/ Bookkeeper, retiring in 1994. She held memberships in the V.F.W. and Welcome Wagons and was proud to have attended the University of Michigan. Because Juva moved around so much, wherever she lived became her home, those who were her friends became her family, and the events she attended became her memories. Survivors include her children: Darlene (Jerry) Collins of Oak Harbor, OH and Frank R. Atkinson of Reynoldsburg, OH; grandchildren Matt (Kimberly) Collins of Hamilton, OH and Ray (Corie Neal) Collins of Marblehead, OH; great- grandchildren Robbie, Ryan, Taylor, and Ciarra. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Chapel at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH where Memorial Services will begin at 11am, with Pastor Billy Ray Hatfield officiating. Graveside Services will begin at 3pm Saturday afternoon in Union Cemetery, Edon, OH. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the V.F.W. Home for Children, 3573 S.
