Junior Ray Mowel

Junior R. Mowel, 77, of Port Clinton, OH, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born on July 5, 1928 in Rogersville, TN, a son of the late Grover H. & Virgie (Crawford) Mowel. Mr. Mowel was a retired welder, working for Fiberlite, Port Clinton. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 2480, Port Clinton, Moose Lodge #1610, Port Clinton, and Eagles Aerie #44, Sandusky, OH. He enjoyed golfing and was formerly active in bowling and pool leagues. Mr. Mowel dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Larry Mowel, Pittsburg, TX and Terry Mowel, Port Clinton; daughters, Linda Miller, Port Clinton, Brenda Place, Wapakoneta, OH, and Glenda Voss, Port Clinton; brother, J.D. Mowel, Gypsum, OH; sisters, Frances Matthews, Rogersville, TN and Dorothy Mae Mason, Greenbelt, MD. Also surviving are many grandchildren great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mowel Bledsoe, brothers, Carl, Willie, James, and Walter Mowel and sisters Rosie Morgan, Bea Matthews, and Ruby Matthews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Neidecker-LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, with a luncheon following the service at V.F.W. Post #2480, Port Clinton.
