Juanita R. Guerra

Juanita R. Guerra, 87, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was born on June 26, 1926 in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of the late Juan and Rita (Polanco) Reyna. On October 16, 1946 she married Fortino Guerra, Sr. and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2004. Juanita was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially making homemade tortillas. She also loved to dance. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. Survivors include her sons: Fortino Guerra, Jr., Sandusky, Ohio; Artemio (Pauline) Guerra; Mario (Alicia) Guerra; Tony (Judy) Guerra; Alejandro Guerra; Armando Guerra; Orlando Guerra, all from Port Clinton; Ernie Guerra, Oak Harbor; Rene (Kim) Guerra, Marblehead; Forlando Guerra, Oak Harbor; daughters: Marilanda Guerra, New Mexico; Belinda (John) Heller, Oak Harbor; 32 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother: Basilio Reyna, Port Clinton; and sister: Frances Cantu, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Rogelio Guerra; twin daughters: Armelia Guerra and Armelia Guerra; and granddaughter: Jessica Guerra. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. On Monday, November 4, prayers will begin at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father Raymond Ensman officiating. Burial will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
