Juanita D. Park

Juanita D. Park, 86, of Lakeside, Ohio died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community, Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on January 16, 1923 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Leslie E. and Eva Mae (Boling) Canter. Juanita worked at New Departure in Sandusky until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Port Clinton. She loved to go shopping, as well as spending time with her grandchildren, and helping others at Edgewood. Survivors include her daughters: Eva Lohrbach, of Port Clinton, Ohio; Donna Meterko, of Akins, South Carolina; step daughters: Ina Jo Schemmel and Kay Clark, both of Elk Rapids, Michigan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Leslie "Duke Canter, of Oak Harbor and Paul Canter, of Frazier, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Frank Park, and two sisters: Jean Finken and Gwendolyn Jenkins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 1-2 PM at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, OH where funeral services will be held at 2 PM with Glenn Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice.
