Joyce E. Allen, 84, of Port Clinton, OH died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born March 27, 1933 in Port Clinton, OH the daughter of Lawrence R. and Velma V. (Taylor) Johannsen. She married Richard W. Allen on August 7, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2012. Joyce owned and operated her own beauty salon from 1960 until retiring in 2006. She had previously worked at Erie Army Depot. Surviving are her daughter: Kymberly (Terry) Rudes of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Jorge Rudes, Julie (Andrew) Kimball, Kathryn (Tim) Knoll, Richard Rudes, David Rudes; great-grandchildren: Angelea Rudes, Savanna Rudes, Yohannah Kimball, Hayden Kimball, Lilianna Knoll, Miles Knoll and brother James (Beverly) Johannsen of Port Clinton, OH.
