Joyce C. Savage

Joyce C. Savage, 64, of Elmore, Ohio, died Friday, July 8, 2011 at her home. After a long struggle, Joyce is absent from her body, but is present with the Lord. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 8, 1946, the daughter of Louis & Josephine (Reinbolt) Kerbel. Joyce was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God, Woodville, Ohio, where she was the financial secretary. She also was a teacher for the Missionettes and taught Sunday School. Joyce was a retired administrative assistant to the plant manager of ConAgra Foods, Rossford. On August 3, 1968, she married Robert Savage, and he survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Julie (Tony) Arent, Millbury, Ohio, and Sara (Brandon) Gilbert, Knoxville, Tennessee; brother, Paul (Erma) Kerbel, Gibsonburg, Ohio; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Emberlynn, and Elyssa Arent, and Isabelle Gilbert. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Matthew Savage. Friends may call from 3-9 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday. Pastor Randy Kutz will officiate, and interment will follow in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Assembly of God, Woodville, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
