Josephine A. Jadwisiak

Josephine A. Jadwisiak, 84, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born on March 28, 1933 on Kelleys Island, Ohio, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Adele (Conti) Maiani. She married Henry Jadwisiak on October 16, 1954 and he preceded her in death. Josephine was the Owner/Broker of Jadwisiak Realty and former owner of Tri County Appraisal Company, and taught Real Estate Principles and Practices at Terra Community College. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead, Ohio where she was dedicated to various ministries. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, making jelly and teaching others the finer points of Italian cooking. Along with her children, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be her ability to care for her son James after he sustained a serious head injury in 1982. Survivors include her sons, Daniel and James; daughters, Nancy (Geoffrey) Bailey, Regina (David) Kobe, and Rita Jadwisiak; grandchildren, Alicia (Matt) Luginbill, Dinielle Jadwisiak, Erika and Jason Bailey, Tatiana and Nik Kobe, Jacob, Megan and Logan Eisenhauer; great-granddaughter, Burkleigh Luginbill and another due February 16; brother, Marino; and sister, Connie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Thomas; brothers, Victor and John; sister, Rose Oberle; and special friend, Robert French. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 4-7pm. At 7pm, a rosary will be recited by the members of St. Joseph Altar-Rosary Society. Additional visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 9 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am with Father James Brown officiating. A light luncheon will be held immediately following mass in the parish hall. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:30 pm at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton.
