Joseph Robert Wyble

Joseph Robert Wyble, 84 of Oak Harbor, OH died Friday, October 07, 2022 at his home under hospice care. He was born February 20, 1938 in Oakland, NJ to the late Joseph and Sarah Jane (Winters) Wyble. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 5, 1958 he married the former JoAnn Holden and she survives. Joe retired from Chrysler in Toledo in 1996. During this time he and his wife owned and operated J & J Shoe Repair in Oak Harbor and was a Police Officer for the Village of Oak Harbor and Fremont. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, Oak Harbor. He was a charter member of Mid-County E.M.S, Oak Harbor, also volunteering his time for the Salvation Army and Red Cross. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, JoAnn of Oak Harbor; children: Joseph (Loretta) Wyble of Corbin, KY, Lori Kruse of Port Clinton, OH, Thomas (Gwen) Wyble of North Baltimore, OH, and Shawn (Beth) Wyble of Oak Harbor; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; sister Alice Gorsika, and brothers William and James Green.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm with the family present 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 with Pastor Rick Bickelhaupt officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor with Military Honors.
