Joseph R. Myers, 56, of Marblehead, OH died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born December 7, 1950 in Port Clinton, a son of the late Charles W. and Anna E. (Pepon) Myers. Mr. Myers worked as an electrician for Hanson Aggregate for 16 years and prior to that he worked at Standard LaFarge Quarry in Marblehead. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7572, Marblehead, and a member of International Union of Operating Engineers. Surviving are his sisters, Edna J. (Frank) Zalar of Marblehead, Anna Mae (Terry) Newman of Howell, MI; brother: Charles N. (Karen) Myers of Norwalk, OH; numerous nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John W. Myers and an infant brother. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. A parish wake service will be held at 6 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Prayer services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead. Rev. James Brown will officiate, and interment will be in Clemons Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marblehead Fire Department, the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
