Joseph Michael Kopchak, 66, of Marblehead Ohio died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1945 in Marblehead Ohio, the son of the late Michael and Helen (Sennich) Kopchak. During his working career, he was a full time employee with the Water Department in Marblehead. He was a social member of the Marblehead VFW Post 7572. Despite his disability, he enjoyed playing the accordion; fishing, watching game shows and westerns on TV. Survivors include his nieces and nephews: Debra (Kyle Keck) Duncan, Gypsum, Ohio; Dena (Joe) Ferguson, Fremont, Ohio; Danielle Thompson, Toledo, Ohio; Daniel (Mary) Kopchak, Vero Beach, Florida; Paula (Bruce) Shenkel, Port Clinton; Mark Kopchak, Ohio; nine great nieces and nephews; one great great niece; and aunts: Grace Kopchak and Eleanor Chura. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Clarence and Paul Kopchak. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 10am until the Office of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 506 E. Main Street, Mablehead, with the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Bryan R. Eyman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
