Joseph L. Roslin Jr. of Perrysburg, OH passed away at home on November 3, 2024. He was born on May 15, 1938 in Toledo, OH. He graduated from Waite High School in 1956 and he joined the US Marine Corp Reserves in June of 1955 doing his basic training while still in high school and was honorably discharged in June 1963. He married Connie Harper in Toledo, OH, on September 20, 1958 and together they had three daughters. Joe joined the Toledo Police Force on May 15, 1964 and retired on September 3, 1987 after twenty-three years of service. Joe and Bonnie Bouldin married on December 21, 1985 in Toledo, OH, and he had almost 39 wonderful years with her. During their time together they first moved to Las Vegas, NV and then to Boaz, AL before returning to the Toledo area in 2018. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Joe enjoyed taking long drives to discover new and beautiful places, traveling, animals, and singing in the car, on his karaoke machine, and in the Nazarene Choir in Boaz, especially Southern Gospel. He recorded a CD of some of his songs which his family and friends will cherish. Joe also loved good food, and Bonnie kept him well fed! He often said some people eat to live, but he lived to eat. He had a lot of funny sayings that his daughters referred to as "dadisms". Joe loved life, spending time with his family, and talking to people and animals, especially dogs. He was often found sitting outside of his garage where many of the neighborhood dogs came to visit on their walks because they knew Joe had a treat for them. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren, all three generations of them. He also loved his Bonnie and always told everyone what a good girl she is and he was a lucky man; he would have been lost without her.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph Sr. and Martha Roslin, sister and brother-in-law Joan and Lowell Amos, brother Richard Roslin, daughter Cathy Yates, granddaughter Vanessa Yates, father and mother-in-law LJ & Lillian Bouldin, sister-in-law Gayle Wells, and brother-in-law Larry Bouldin.
