John R. Foster

John Richard Foster, 67 of Elmore, OH died unexpectedly Monday, April 30, 2018 at his home. He was born January 26, 1951 in Fremont, OH to the late Richard P. and Ruth E. (Meyer) Foster. He was a 1969 graduate of Woodmore High School, and received his Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University. He retired after 30 years from Terra Community College in Fremont, OH as a Visual Communications Technology Professor. John was a member of MENSA. He enjoyed photography, family history, pyrotechnics, volunteering at Shedels, collecting antiques, printing, and cooking. Survivors include his children: Philip Foster of Encinitas, CA and Cara (Kasra) Ahmadinia of Tulsa, OK; Margie Bixler- Foster of whom he was married to for 29 years of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Kayvon & Syrus Ahmadinia; sister Susan (Dennis) Dolph of Elmore, OH and niece Amy Speith, and nephew Aaron Dolph. Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 11am-1pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 19550 W. SR 51, Elmore, OH 43416 with services to begin at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be handled privately in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross or Harris- Elmore E.M.S.
