John L. Trimble, 69, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on October 17, 1942 in Newark, Ohio the son of the late Louis and Edna (Moomaw) Trimble. On October 14, 1967 he married Alice Cantu and she survives. John was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a foreman at US Gypsum, Gypsum Ohio until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating, and painting. Survivors include his wife: Alice; son: John Trimble, Port Clinton; daughters: Aileen (Carl) Jadwisiak, Port Clinton and Angela (Jeff Schill) Trimble, Port Clinton; grandchildren: Reese and Liv Jadwisiak, Ryan Nicolaysen and Aidan Schill. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Carl Trimble, Richard "Rick" Trimble, and Donald "Gene" Trimble. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 2- 4pm with funeral services following at 4pm, with Father John C. Missler officiating. Cremation will then take place with burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
