John F. Kelly III, 64 of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, June 19, 2023 at Ayden Healthcare of Waterville. He was born November 2, 1958 in Oregon, OH to the late John F. & Carroll V. (Traver) Kelly Jr. John was a graduate of Clay High School in Oregon. He was a millwright by trade and a longtime farmer. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, OH but was recently attending Journey Church in Fremont, OH. On June 8, 2009 he married Margie (Knotts), and she survives. John loved to farm, hunt, fish, work on cars and machinery, and smoke his Winston cigs.
Survivors include his wife Margie; daughters: “The Weasler” Natalie K. (Curtis) Recker, “The Bug” Amy (David Collins) Kelly, “Dear Heart” Mary Laura (Ryan) Munch, “Spudsie” Errin C. (Rob) Kelly, “Tiger Dale” Madeline D. (Khaled) Daoud, and “Moosie” Carrolline C. (Blake) Kelly; his only son “Buddy” John Merle George (Gabi) Kelly; 2 grandchildren: Kensington and Charlotte, with 1 on the way; step-daughters Dawn (Daniel) Hughes and Holly (Kevin) Spencer; 6 step-grandchildren: Joshua, Josiah, Hayley, Lyndsay, Nick, and Keyjuan; brothers William (Wendy) Kelly and Michael (Marianne) Kelly and ex-wife Mary Ann Kelly. He was also preceded in death by a step-son Dale Tusen.
Services will begin at 1pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel, where the family will receive friends beginning at 11am until the service. Burial will be in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the family to assist in funeral expenses.
