John F. Heckenhauer

John F. Heckenhauer, 75, of Lakeside, OH died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born June 19, 1931 in Bucyrus, OH to the now deceased Vera (Mader) and George Heckenhauer. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1949. In 1953 he graduated from the College of Agriculture at The Ohio State University. He then served two years in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service to his country he returned to Ohio State and received his degree in business. In 1956 he married Janice Wood of Baltimore, Maryland. He retired from Eaton Corporation. He is survived by his wife, the former Janice Wood of Baltimore, MD, whom he married in 1956; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Harry Turner of Anthem, AZ; daughter, Christine Domeier of Rochester Hills, MI; grandchildren, Michael Skierski and Sarah Domeier both of Rochester Hills, MI; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Donald Widman of Galion, OH; brother and sister-in-law, William and Janet Heckenhauer of Bucyrus, OH; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. The Rev. Harry Hull will officiate, and interment will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside Vol. Fire Department.
