John E. Drum, 85, of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home. He was born December 15, 1937 in Circleville, OH the son of Thomas and Marie (Richey) Drum. He married Eithel Perry on November 24, 1960 and she survives. Mr. Drum served his country in the Army National Guard, training many soldiers in shooting and ammunitions. He worked at Camp Perry for 30 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton and volunteer firefighter and EMT for Erie Township Fire Dept. for 15 years. He enjoyed shooting, repairing guns, hunting, fishing and he was an avid gun collector

Surviving are his wife: Eithel; children: John A. (Hui) Drum of Las Vegas, Melinda (Steve) Hernandez of Woodville, Jeff (Cindy) Drum of Tiffin; grandchildren: Jenna (Auggie) Augenstein, Megan (Michael) Carter, Nate (Amanda) Fastzkie, Tyler Brand, Katie (Tommy) Reinhart, Michael Drum, Brandon (Dana) Drum, Logan Drum; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Esther Carlier of Owensville, OH, James (Deanna) Drum of Florida and Michelle (Jim) Dawson of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Mary Virginia Gaither, Betty Tomey and Tommy Cullison.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH with Erie Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. Memorial Services at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at LaCarpe Cemetery. Father Jonathon Wight will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warriors. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckercrosserpriesman.com .
