John A. Smith, Jr.

John A. Smith, Jr, 78 of Norwalk, OH passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Regency Hospital, Middleburg Heights, OH. He was born June 19, 1942 in Toledo, OH, the son of John A. and Kathleen Smith, Sr. He married Toni Bowman on March 31, 1990 and she survives. John worked at Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, OH until retiring in 2001. Surviving are his wife: Toni; sons: Kevin Smith of California, Chris Smith of California, Floyd Churchwell of Fremont; daughters: Carla Smith of California, Johnna Smith of Toledo, Katrice Stovall of Sandusky; step daughter: Kimberly (Tom) Barbee of Norwalk; step-son: Marlin Bowman of New London, OH; many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Joseph Fortson, William Smith, Boliver Smith, Val Hymon, Jr.; sisters: Mary Morrisette, Cora Lee Smith. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Friday January 29, 2021 from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
