Joanne M. Ford

Joanne M. Ford, 82 of Elmore, OH died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born June 25, 1935 in Gibsonburg, OH to the late Herbert and Vada (Damschroder) Zorn. She was a 1953 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On June 25, 1954 she married Jimmie A. "Jim" Ford who preceded her in death March 28, 2009. Joanne was a retired bus driver for the Woodmore Schools having served 22 years. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore. She enjoyed going to the Sprint Car races at the Fremont Speedway where her husband and sons would often be racing. She also enjoyed her "tea time" with the ladies at Red, White, & Brew. Family was important to her, attending many of her grandchildren's events. She was always smiling and enjoyed conversing with anyone she engaged. Survivors include her children: Randall (Debra) Ford of Woodville, OH, Douglas Ford of Elmore, OH, Becky (Robert) Kayden of Elmore, OH and Vicky (Don) Ford of Charlotte, NC; sister Christina Roepke of Gibsonburg, OH; grandchildren: Kelli (John), Kristin (Jeremiah), Ashley (Adam), Michael (Katie); step- grandchild Philip (Marley); great- grandchildren: Kylie, Raena, Aiden, Blake, Kendall, Gavin, Sofia, and Cameron. She was also preceded in death by her brothers George and Herbert Jr.; sister Florence Yenour, and step-grandson Michael. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-8 P.M. at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore, OH. Burial will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Ev.
