Joanne E. (Lane) Poulos

Joanne Eileen (Lane) Poulos, 90 of Marblehead, OH died Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Elmwood Nursing Facility in Fremont, OH. She was born an identical twin with her sister Joyce on November 3, 1932 in Toledo, OH to the late Harold and Lillian (Otto) Lane. She was a 1950 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Toledo where she met and married Mearl L. Main Jr. From this marriage there were four children.

Joanne later met and married Albert Poulos and moved to Put-in-Bay, OH as owners of The Castle Inn until it was lost to fire in January 1982. She then took up a retail managers position with Gift Cove. While there she helped run The Carriage House and The Lone Willow gift shops for many seasons until retirement.

She was an active antique doll collector and seller for many years making many friends along the way. She also enjoyed attending church at Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton.

Survivors include her children: Dawn (Steve) Lenz, Douglas S. Main, and Lisa (Sean) Main-Reedy; siblings: Joyce Stock, Marcia Hess, and Patrick Helm; 10 grandchildren; 3 grand dogs; and 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald J. Lane Sr. and her son Randy C. Maine.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11am on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH 43440. Following the Service, family and friends are invited to Orchard Bar & Table, Wine Pavilion 3266 NE Catawba Road, Port Clinton, OH 43452 for a time of gathering. A private Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ottawa County Humane Society.
