Jo Ann (Tucker) Hillman of Oak Harbor, OH died peacefully at her home on December 26, 2015. Born on May 25, 1929 in Fremont, OH, she was the daughter of the late Earl Tucker Sr. and Eva (Opelt) Tucker Smith. She was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On October 11, 1947 she married Donald W. Hillman who preceded her in death on November 10, 2004. Jo Ann was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, an active member of the Ottawa County Historical Society/ Keeper's House, DUVCW (Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War) Tent #151 where she served as Chaplain, VFW Post #8732 Women's Auxiliary and the Ottawa County Democratic Party where she served on Central Committee. Jo Ann was employed with Gray Drugs in Fremont and Rite Aid in Oak Harbor with over 28 years of service. Survivors include her children Charles (Nancy) Hillman of Oak Harbor, Jacquelin (Charles) Dicken of Bowling Green, OH, and Donna McCleese of Fremont; grandchildren: Brian (Jenny) Dicken, Wendy (Dan) Hillyard, Nicholas (April) Hillman, Jonathan Hillman, Jason Phillips, Matthew Hillman, Christopher and Kevin McCleese; great- grandchildren: Erika, Hannah, and Bailey Hillman, Zachary Hillyard, Shelby Jensen, Brandan and Ryan Hillyard, Andrew McCleese, Meredith and Grant Dicken, Rory Hillman and Kody McCleese; sisters- in- law Leila Tack and Beverly Foreman. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Earl Tucker Jr and Monte Tucker, and sister Barbara Bennett. Services will begin at 1pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 11am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ottawa County Historical Society/ Keeper's House or the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society.
