Jill M. Hummel

Jill M. (St. Clair) Hummel, 47, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Jill was born on February 7, 1966 in Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of David & Sandra (Nissen) St. Clair. She was a 1984 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and was an employee of Silgan Plastics, Port Clinton for 27 years. For the past several years, Jill has worked at the Ayling & Reichert Co., Oak Harbor, where she worked with her mother. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor and enjoyed gambling and trips to the casinos. Jill was the hub and "go to" member of her family. She was a good cook and kept everyone well fed. Jill dearly loved her family and especially doted on her nearly two year old granddaughter. On May 7, 1999, Jill married Larry Hummel and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Jordan (Danielle) Torres, Oak Harbor, and Miranda Hummel, at home; her parents, David and Sandy St. Clair, Oak Harbor; brother, Brian Favro, Tarpon Springs, Florida; sisters, Ellen St. Clair, Renee (Sam) Livas, and Michelle Favro, all of Oak Harbor; granddaughter, Isabella Torres; niece, Whitney Rutledge, nephew, Cody (Kym) Livas, and great-nephew, Landon Livas. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Saturday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday. Rev. David A. Voll will officiate, and interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Harbor Public Library or to a charity of the donor's choice.
