Jill Lynn (Dornbusch) Mincheff, 49, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in the company of her family. Jill was born on August 10, 1964 in Port Clinton, Ohio to James & JoAnn (Taulker) Dornbusch. She was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Class of 1982, and a graduate of Davis Business College in 1983. After graduating high school, "Doctor Jill" as she was called by her patients, began working for Dr. R.W. Minick, and later Magruder Hospital. Jill provided loving care as a medical assistant for thirty years. She married Carlos Mincheff on November 4, 1989 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, where she was a lifetime member. As an active member of the community, Jill was a Sunday School teacher, altar guild member, Oak Harbor Athletic Booster member and treasurer, among many other things. Jill is survived by her husband, Carlos; children, Kyle and Katie, parents, Jim and Jo Dornbush; and brother, Jeff (Cassie) Dornbusch. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ben Mincheff; aunt, Susan Wilhelm; uncle, Charles Dornbusch; and cousin, Rodney Wilhelm, Jr. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m at Crosser Funeral Home, 301 N. Locust Street, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa Street, Oak Harbor, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Pastor John Stirewalt will officiate, and interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery. Following the committal service, there will be a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to a college fund for Jill's children.
