Jill Annette Cecil

Jill Annette Cecil, 52 of Genoa, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at her home under hospice care, surrounded by her family. She was born December 5, 1969, in Fremont, OH, to Joseph and Sandra (Buehler) Cecil Jr. She was a 1988 graduate of Woodmore High School, received her Bachelor’s in Education from the Bowling Green State University and her Master’s in Education from Marygrove College. Jill was employed with the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District in Oak Harbor where she taught for 27 years. She truly enjoyed being with her family and watching their successes throughout the years. She is survived by her sons: Joseph Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC and Logan Johnson of Gibsonburg, OH; daughter Lauren Johnson of Genoa, OH; grandson William Johnson; her parents; brothers: Jack (Missy) Cecil and Jason (Dana) Cecil both of Elmore, OH; nephews AJ and Jake Cecil and niece Andrea Cecil; and friend Kristi Glacier. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 3-8pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR 51, Elmore. Graveside Services will begin at 9am Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating.
