Jesus V. "Jesse" Garza

Jesus Vasquez Garza, 88, of Port Clinton, died Saturday August 17,2024 peacefully at home. He was born February 19, 1936 in Cuero, Texas, son of Natalia and Reymundo Garza. He was a husband, father of eight children and grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, father- in-law, brother, uncle and a friend to many spiritual brothers and sisters. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 31, 1960.

He loved the outdoors - planting trees, his ministry and helping others. He was a member of the Spanish and English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Fremont, Ohio for 64 years. He served as an Elder for 52 years.

Surviving are his eight children: Guadalupe Camacho (Late Ricardo) of Kansas City, MO, Maria Hernandez (Jose) of Fremont, OH, Jesus F. Garza of Port Clinton, OH, Ida Berridge (Kevin)of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Linda Lopez (Jesus)of Huntington Park, CA, Rebeca Garza of Fremont, OH, Israel Garza (Janie) of McDonaugh, GA, Ismael Garza of Toledo, OH, and his brother Reymundo (Blanca) Garza as well as seventeen (17) grandchildren and eight (8) great-grandchildren (2) great-great children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lupita of 52 years, his parents, Reymundo and Natalia his siblings Juanita, Antonia, Beatriz, Paulina, Gabriel, Pedro, Ramon,

and Maria.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses,

1509 Cedar Street, Fremont, Ohio. Family visitation at Bay Township Hall 4471 W. Fremont Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452. from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm following the service.
