Jerry P. Lohr, 77 of Lindsey, OH died Tuesday, January 28, 2025 unexpectedly at his home on his 77th birthday. He was born January 28, 1948 in Fremont, OH to the late Myron and Lavona (Layton) Lohr. He was a 1966 graduate of Harris-Elmore High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In 1970 he married the former Melva Overmyer who preceded him in death February 4, 1987. Jerry retired from the former Brush-Wellman Company. His funny stories would fill a room with laughter. He loved buying various items which he regularly would sell from his front yard. He spent a lot of time watching and tracking trains from local railroad crossings. He was always out visiting the people in his neighborhood, willing to help them out in any way he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his son Jeremy (Debra) Lohr of Burgoon, OH; grandchildren: Jared Lohr, Steven (Denna) Lohr, Ethan Lohr, Anna (Frederick) Moyer, Nathanael Lohr, Seth Lohr, Adin Lohr, and Sarah Lohr; great-grandchildren: William and Melva Lohr: sister Lynda (Russ) Porter of Fremont, IN; and nieces Heather Harris, Monica Wappes, and Mindy Lindahl. He was also preceded in death by his son Jess Lohr.
Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Grace Brethren Chapel, 1820 SR 590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9am until the time of Service. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, Lindsey, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Brethren Chapel.
