Jerry L. Salyers, Sr.

Jerry L. Salyers Sr., 79 of Sandusky, Ohio Passed Peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, surrounded by Family. Born January 31st, 1945, in Ironton, Ohio to the Late Noah K. and Hazel (McClellan) Salyers. On July 4th, 1990, he married his forever sweetheart, Eileen M. (McLaughlin) Salyers. Jerry resided in Port Clinton, Ohio until the early 2000’s when he relocated to Sandusky, Ohio.

Jerry Spent many years working for Heineman Distribution as a truck driver. In his spare time and in retirement, he was a self-employed and talented carpenter. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife and spending time with his family. Jerry was a Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather and will be remembered for being a man of Integrity, his smile and his infectious laugh.

Left to cherish his memories are his Wife Eileen, Sons: Jerry (Nina) Salyers of Sandusky, Tracy (Mary) Salyers of Port Clinton, Brian (Tammy) Salyers of Gypsum, Chris (Holli) Koehne of Port Clinton and Jason (Mary) Koehne of Fremont. Brothers: Kennis (Dorothy) Salyers and Marvon Salyers of Port Clinton, OH. Grand-Children: Justin Salyers Sr. , Shandell (Joshua) Crawford, Rachel (Adam) Mitchell, Jason (Alexis) Salyers, Benjamin Salyers, Cody (Jenni) Salyers, Brian Salyers Jr. Gage Miller, Chris Koehne, Riah McAllister, Alexis McAllister, 24 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jerry is Preceded in death by his Parents and two infant Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will begin at 1pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Port Clinton Chapel with Pastor Harry Hunt officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
