Jennie S. King

Jennie S. King, 69, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born on March 22, 1939 in Athens, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Mamie (Mace) Risley. She was formerly married to William Horn and he survives. She then married Elzie King in September 1984 and he survives. Jennie worked at the former Standard Products in Port Clinton until her retirement. She was a lifetime member of the Port Clinton VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included cooking, camping throughout the United States, and planting flowers. Survivors include her husband: Elzie; daughters: Christine (Brad) David, Littleton, CO and Babette Green, Port Clinton, OH; son: Bill Horn, San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; step daughters: Betty Hofacker and Rose Snyder, both of Port Clinton and Paula Pollard, Fremont, OH; step sons: David King, Oak Harbor, OH and Dan King, Tennessee; seventeen step grandchildren and twenty-six step great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10-11 AM. Reverend Tim Hartman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
