Jeffery K. "Jay Dee" Darr

Jeffery K. “Jay Dee” Darr, 64 of Oak Harbor, OH died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Firelands Hospital, Sandusky, OH following a brief illness. He was born September 29, 1959 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Kenneth H. and Avanell (Fick) Darr. He was a 1977 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and retired in 2021 from Ferrell Gas as a propane delivery man. On November 30, 1996 he married the former Candace “Candy” Berndt, and she survives.

Jay Dee was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. He also held memberships in Sons of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and Fremont Eagles. In his earlier years he was a member of S.C.R.A.P. and the Browns Backers in Oak Harbor.

Survivors include his wife Candy of Oak Harbor; brother Gregory (Kelly) Darr of Marblehead, OH; sister Rebecca Madison of Fremont, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a nephew Nicholas Darr.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm with the family present 2-4 & 6-8pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30am on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Steinbauer officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
