Jeanne Marcella Haar was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed at Bay Park Hospital on November 22, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born to Stanley and Florence (Otte) Magsig on May 4, 1938. She married her first love, Warren Wilson Haar, on November 14, 1959. Together, they had two children. Her daughter, Diedra Lee Haar, brother, Lee, and husband preceded her in death. Her eldest daughter Connie and her family (husband John Smith and grandchildren Allison and Bradley) will fondly remember their many happy days spent in her company. Her eldest brother, George Magsig (Judy), also survives her. Jeanne was an active member of her church, Grace Lutheran, where she also worked as a secretary treasurer. With her friends at the church, she helped to create hundreds of quilts for those in need. She also worked for ten years as a bookkeeper at Harris-Elmore Public Library. She was a passionate curator of genealogical records, and helped preserve the history of families in the Elmore area. In her recent years, Jeanne confronted a lifelong fear of flying and travelled to far reaches of the world, from New Zealand and Australia to Alaska. Her happiest days were those spent on her family farm in the company of friends and relatives. Her dear friend, Jim Flick, was her closest companion in her final years. Plans for a service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Grace Lutheran in Elmore, Ohio (or charity of choice).
