Jeanne M. Black, 102, passed away August 4, 2021. She was born April 7, 1919 in Bucyrus, OH to William and Edna (Swartz) McGowan growing up in Shelby, OH. She married her husband Robert Black and lived in Bellevue, OH until moving to Port Clinton, OH where they lived at the Vineyard. Her parents and Robert preceded her in death while they were married over 50 years. Jeanne worked for the Nickle Plate and Norfolk Southern Railroad as a stenographer in the superintendent’s office prior to retirement. Jeanne had a great love for her family as she could be seen at sporting events for her grandchildren throughout the years as well as making her famous hearts of palm and macaroni salad for holiday gatherings. She was a member of Firelands Presbyterian Church, Port Clinton, OH. Surviving are her son: Robert E. Black of Sandusky; grandchildren: Rob (Tuesday) Black of Richmond, VA, Chris (Shannon) Black of Atlanta, GA, Kevin (Aubrey) Black of Minneapolis, MN, Sean Black of Cleveland, OH; great-grandchildren: Bree, Brooke, Leo and Maeve.
