Jeanette K. Leutz

Jeanette K. Leutz, 90, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on June 5, 1925 in Elmore, OH, the daughter of Lawrence R. & Odessa B. (Neeb) Henry. Jeanette was a graduate of the former Harris-Elmore High School and was a member of the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church. On August 17, 1946, she married A. J. Leutz, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1996. In 1990, Jeanette retired from the former Toledo Edison Company. She was well known in the community for her friendly greeting as the receptionist for Dr. Robert W. Minick in Oak Harbor, where she worked for many years. Active in the community, Jeanette was a long time volunteer at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, and Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. She was active at the Oak Harbor Senior Center, and was a member of Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge, both in Port Clinton, and the Eagles Lodge in Fremont. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Jack) Case, Tavares, FL; daughter-in-law, Martha Leutz, Lima, OH; brother, Nelson Henry, Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Kim (Jim) Webb, Caledonia, OH, and J.P. (Wendy) Burmeister, Evans, GA; great-grandchildren, Amara, Donovan, Ashley, & Brandon; and her special friend and caregiver, Carol Lynch, Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Leutz; son, Gary Leutz; her parents, L.R. & Odessa Henry; and brother, Donald Henry. Friends are invited to call after 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday. Rev. Robert Rakay will officiate, and interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church.
