Jane H. Freimark

Jane H. Freimark, 95, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born in Graytown, Ohio on March 6, 1925, the daughter of Harvey & Helen (Fields) Lewis. Children and education were priorities to Jane. She was the first woman elected to the Benton-Carroll-Salem Board of Education, where she served 20 years. Later, she served on the board of CASA. A long time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, Jane served as a member and president of the church council. She was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries. On June 27, 1942, Jane married Clayton “Bud” Freimark, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1996 after over 52 years of marriage. She is survived by their children, William (Carole) Freimark, Pamela Fredrick, Letha Robichaux, and Debra (Terry) Widmer; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2: 00 PM Friday, January 8, 2021 at Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio with Rev. Daniel Sather and Rev. Scott Cunningham officiating.
