Jane Baker

Jane Baker, 93, of Catawba Island died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at The Chalet at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba. Jane was born December 22, 1923 in Sequatchie Valley, TN the daughter of Willis W. and Creta (Elbon) Anderson. She graduated from North High School in Columbus. Jane grew up in Columbus. Jane married Lee K. Baker who preceded her in death on December 31, 2008. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Catawba Island; Catawba Island Garden Club; a founding member of Nor 'Easter Club and she and her husband were the previous owners of Fox Haven and Midway Marinas on Catawba Island. Surviving are her sons: William (Dorthy) Baker and Dick (Margaret) Baker both of Catawba Island; grandchildren: Cara (Jim Jadwisiak) Baker of Cleveland, Brandy (Lamont Thomas) Baker of Cleveland, Jeff (Erin) Baker of Catawba Island; great-granddaughter: Mia Grace; and the amazing staff at The Chalet @ Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba who became her family also. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lee and brother: Andy "Bud" Anderson. Private graveside services will take place at Catawba Island Cemetery.
