James S. Booker

James S. Booker, 81, of Put-in-Bay passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024

at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born July

12, 1942 in Detroit, MI the son of Stanley and Emily (Malesky) Booker.

He married Nancy (Karl) on October 25, 1979 and she survives. He was

a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Chrysler Sterling

Stamping Plant in Detroit for 15 years. He then returned to Put-in-Bay

and was employed at a number of Island Businesses, most notably, The

Crews Nest, Island Resorts and Miller Boat Line.

Surviving are his wife: Nancy; daughter Nicole Booker of Centerville,

MI; grandchildren: Alexandria Booker-Dysert, Reagen Monnett, Cooper

Monnett; brothers: Marv (Patricia) Booker of Put-in-Bay and William

(Kathy) Booker of Wyandotte, MI.

A Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial
