James P. "J.K." Kekelik, 68, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born May 1, 1946, the son of Peter and Dorothy "Dawn" (Seeholzer) Kekelik. He was raised on Kelley's Island and moved to Marblehead in his early twenties. He married Marsha Krynock who he spent 35 years with. J. K. worked as a loader/operator for LaFarge Quarry in Marblehead, OH. e: Dote was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kelley's Island and a social member of the Marblehead V.F.W. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed growing a garden. Surviving are his wife: Marsh Helin and sister: Dottie (Jack) Harris of Cape Coral, FL. Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, LakesideMarblehead, OH where visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 6:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Kelley's Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County or Stein Hospice.
