James P. Croll, 81 of Elmore, OH died Friday, April 13, 2012 at his home. He was born November 18, 1930 in Elmore to the late Harold and Marie (Paul) Croll. He was a 1950 graduate of Harris- Elmore High School. On December 7, 1963 he married the former Monette Benefield and she survives. Jim was a lifelong farmer in the Elmore Area. In 1989 he retired from Sun Oil following 22 years of service as a Pipe Fitter. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #279 both of Elmore. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns and his dog Oscar. Survivors include his wife Monette, son Jeffrey (Lisa) Croll, and daughter Trish Croll all of Elmore; sister Mary Jean "Mickey" (Tom) Bockbrader of Elmore; grandchildren Nicholas, Dakota, and Elijah Croll; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Timothy Croll, and brothers Raymond and Thomas Croll. Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, 340 Toledo St., Elmore with the Rev. Melissa Steinecker officiating. Private Burial services will be done in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. The family would like to invite family and friends to a luncheon/ visitation time following the Service at the Elmore American Legion Hall, 345 Sherman St., Elmore. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church or a charity of the Donor's Choice.
