James (Jim) M. Leech, 62, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away at his home on Friday, December 4, 2020 under the care of Hospice. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 24, 1958, son of Harry & Martha (Heifner) Leech. Jim was a certified diesel mechanic, and the owner and operator of Northcoast Truck & Trailer Service in Oak Harbor, Ohio, for over 30 years. He was also employed by MCS in Northwood. Jim loved spending time at his cottage on the Toussaint River. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing and looked forward to his annual deer hunting trips in Southern Ohio each year. On July 15, 2017, he married the former Sherry Laughlin, and she survives. Also surviving is his step daughter, Carrie Jo Beard, Columbus, Ohio; siblings, Patricia (Bob Dean) Watson, Holland, Ohio, John (Judy) Leech, Waterville, Ohio, and Jerry (Shannon) Leech, Lima, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Deborah Heitkemper.
