James M. Lattimore

July 26, 1961 — September 17, 2023

James M. Lattimore, 62 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 17, 2023 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, OH. Jim was born July 26, 1961 in Port Clinton, OH to James G. and Evelyn Marlene (Colvin) Lattimore. He was baptized at Gypsum Community Church and a confirmed member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor.


When Jim was younger he was a member of Cub Scout Pack #384. He also played baseball in the Oak Harbor Little League playing for State Bank, and was a member of Mud Creek 4-H Club. Co-Captain of the Oak Harbor Rocket football & wrestling teams, Jim graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1979.


He worked for Stones Dairy, Wellers, Lipstraw Drainage, US Gypsum, Buehler Fishery and drove truck for many years, most recently for John LaFountain and Tabbert Trucking. He enjoyed camping, grilling, playing euchre, tractor pulls, going to S.C.R.A.P., classic country and classic rock music. Jim enjoyed and loved his grandkids. He was an Oak Harbor Rocket, Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Ohio State fan.


Jim is survived by his daughter Jodi (Jake) Deese of Talladega, AL; son Jared (Janene) Lattimore of Graytown, OH; mother Marlene Lattimore; grandchildren: Tori Wilburn, Hali Ballard, Janie, Baya and Hesston Lattimore; sisters: Barbara (Glenn) Branum of Oak Harbor, Pamela Lattimore of Bellevue, OH, Tina (Chad) Brough of Lindsey, OH, and John Lattimore of Oak Harbor; many nieces & nephews, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father James G. Lattimore and brother William E. Lattimore.


A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Graytown Park, Harder Shelter House, from 3-8pm. A short service will begin at 3pm by Pastor Cheryl Wessel with gathering to follow. Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor is assisting the family and where online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesmanfuneralhome.com.
