James Lewis, 81, of Marblehead, OH passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Toledo Hospital. He was born August 23, 1943 in Heilwood, PA the son of John and Victoria (Wenturine) Lewis. He married Ann Walker on June 19, 1965. John was a self-employed truck driver, who along with his wife owned and operated A. J. Trucking. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH and he volunteered for AARP. He was an avid stock car racer and he was a member of the Cloverleaf Speedway Hall of Fame and Painesville Speedway Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Ann; his many friends, nieces, nephews and his furry baby: Casey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Nancy Haseley.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Additional visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Joseph Szybka at 10:30 am Monday, November 25, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Danbury Food Pantry or Humane Society of Ottawa County.
