James L. Mccormick

James L. McCormick, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. He was born July 28, 1924 in Lake Township, MI to the late Daniel and Grace (McIlhargey) McCormick. On November 27, 1980 he married the former Niler (Ables) Nix who preceded him in death on May 4, 2007. He is survived by his children: Rick (Betty) McCormick, Woodhaven, MI, Randy (Linda) McCormick, Livonia, MI, Tina Delozier, Lincoln Park, MI; step-children: Howard (Sandra) Ballard Oak Harbor, OH, Linda Nix, Toledo, OH, Cindy (Ross) Aldridge, Oak Harbor, OH, Joyce (Richard) Gates, Oak Harbor, Peggy (Montgomery) Rex, Curtice, OH, and Nina (Roger) Aldridge, Gibsonburg, OH; sisters: Irene Beil, O'Fallow, MO and Gertrude McCormick, Northville, MI; 4 grandchildren, 13 step- grandchildren, and 14 step- great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Charles, Bill, Leo, and Frank McCormick; Grace Knas and Mary McCormick; step-children: Prestel Nix and Dwayne Ballard; step-granddaughter Stephanie Ballard, and step- great grandchild Hannah Aldridge. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
