James Keith Pearson

James Keith Pearson passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on July 8, 2015 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center in Lakeside, Ohio. He was born on July 27, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late John "Jack" and Eva (Lajennesse) Pearson. He married Mary Eileen Navarre on July 14, 1941 and she preceded him in death on June 10, 2006. Keith graduated from the University of Toledo in 1941 with a degree in Business Administration. From there he went on to serve as an officer in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, Keith worked for Willy's Overland Jeep in Toledo Ohio and then moved to Marblehead and worked at the former Standard Slag, now LaFarge Quarry, where he was the assistant superintendent, retiring in 1982. Keith was an active member of St. Joseph's parish in Marblehead, OH. He is survived by his children, Jim (Sarah), Patrick (Debi), Mary Ann (Neal) Martini, Barbara (Mike) Collins, Richard (Jeannie) and Eileen Osborne; fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eva; His wife of over 60 years, Mary Eileen (Navarre), brothers, Jack and Robert and his son-in-law, Joseph Osborne. Keith was an inspiration and role model to his family and his passing leaves a hole in our hearts and our lives. We are left with many fond memories. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead. On Friday, July 17, 2015, additional visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead from 10am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Father Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead with military honors conducted by members of the Stanley Jadwisiak VFW Post #7572, Marblehead.
