James Edward Reid

James Edward Reid, 73, of Port Clinton, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born May 14, 1946 in Pineville, KY, the son of the late Louisa Messer and Charlie Reid. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert, Fred and C.R. Reid and one sister Virginia. Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years Virginia; five sons: James Jr., Johnny, Marty, Ronnie and Jeffery and one sister: Betty. He was a grandpa to many grandkids, great grandkids and many kids that werent even related. Known to many as James, Jim, Jimbo, Papaw, Padre or Pops, he never met a stranger. Always known to tinker with something whether in the garage, house, yard or garden. He will be deeply missed by many. It was Jamess wishes to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the America Cancer Association or any Cancer Fund.
