James E. Luma, 41, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He was born June 29, 1970 in Sandusky, OH, the son of Bruce and Marylin (Crum) Luma. He married Natasha L. Johnson on June 22, 1996 and she survives. He made his family and God the center of his life. He was a member of Church of Christ and attended The Chapel regularly. He was very supportive and attended all of Amber and Ethan's activities. Jim was active in all kids sports including coaching flag football. He loved to fish, golf, watch movies, play his banjo and cook. He was very helpful to anyone he could help and he never met a stranger, everyone loved him. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He previously worked at Armstrong Air Conditioning and U. S. Gypsum. Surviving are his wife: Natasha; children: Amber and Ethan; father: Bruce W. (Margie) Luma of Ft Myers, FL; mother: Marylin (Bob) Gildenmeister of Berlin Heights; grandmother: Louise Gildenmeister of Sandusky; brother: Bruce W. Luma, Jr of Republic; half-brothers: Kevin Stewart of Huron, Ryan Luma of Florida; step-brothers: Joe Gildenmeister of Sandusky, Jason Gildenmeister of Sandusky; step-sisters: Brittany Godwin of Columbus, OH, Elizabeth Papanek of Estero, FL; father-in-law: Stan (Julie) Doyle of Tenn; sister-in-law: Michelle (Jason) Steckel of Rochester Hills, MI; step-sister-in-law Miranda (Brad) Walker of Smyrna, TN; step-brother-in-law Dustin Reaves of Hendersonville, NC. He is also susvived by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Arthur and Clairsie Crum, Barney and Patricia Luma, Glenn Gildenmeister; mother-in-law: Pat Doyle. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday with additional visitation from 9:00 until the time of the service. Burial will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Luma Children Educational Fund.
