James A. "Jimmie" Webb

James A. “Jimmie” Webb, 90, of Catawba Island passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Admiral’s Pointe, Huron, OH. He was born May 11, 1931 in Florence, MS the son of E. K. and Leola (Taylor) Webb. He married Marjean Thames on June 22, 1958 and she survives. Jimmie was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was the owner of Jimmie’s Gotcha Restaurant in Marblehead and worked as a bartender at Catawba Island Club, Mon Ami, The Crow’s Nest and many private parties. Surviving are his wife: Marjean; sons: Darrell (Lisa) Webb of DeSoto, TX, Kendrick (Dureda) Webb of Grand Rapids, MI, Dwindal Webb of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Kendra Webb, Andre Webb, Ashley Webb, Natasha Webb, Nicholas Webb, Kenyatta “Precious” Webb; great-grandchildren: Martez Wilson, Messiah Webb, Tiarra Wilson, Cinque Carter, Israel Webb, DeShaun Gilmer; sister: Christine Ross of Florence, MS; special niece: Paulette Farmer who helped take care of him in his final days; special friends: Ralph Rethman and Jeanie Lloyd; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Ernestine Lewis. Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Erie Shores Assembly of God, 220 S. Gill Rd. Port Clinton, OH. Interment will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery.
