Jacob Kenneth "Jake" Hazel, 23 of Elmore, OH passed away December 16, 2019, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born May 24, 1996 in Oregon, OH to Kenny J. Hazel and Pamela Renee Schneider. Jake was a 2014 graduate of Woodmore High School and Penta Career Center where he studied Criminal Justice. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, served a 4 year tour, and recently re-enlisted awaiting his orders. He was a member of Elmores Bethel United Brethren Church, where he played the drums in the worship team and attended several mission trips with the youth group. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 314. Jacob loved being a part of his large family and friend circles. He was always smiling and laughing and thinking of ways he could help someone out. He loved to sing karaoke and play guitar. He was a fierce protector of his younger siblings and loved spending time with all of his nephews and his niece. He had a passion for children and was a pro at making them smile. He loved photography, video games, and vlogging on YouTube...even though he joked he didnt have many viewers.
