Jackie Bartrom

Jackie Bartrom, 78, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, OH, where he was admitted earlier in the day. He was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia on May 26, 1938, the son of the late Paul & Dollie (Nelson) Bartrom. On February 14, 1959, Jackie married the former Mary Ann Withrow, and she survives. Jackie and Mary Ann are well known for their participation in county fair flea markets all over Northwest Ohio and in Texas for over 20 years. Jackie was the owner and operator of Jack's Body Shop in Fremont for over 40 years, retiring in 1997. Also surviving are his children, Jackie Lee (Cheri) Bartrom, Oak Harbor, Terry (Diana) Bartrom, Fremont, Cathy (Rusty) Homler, Green Springs, OH, and Glenda (Troy) Faunce, Helena, OH; grandchildren, Jolee, Amanda, Jacob, Isaac, Renee, Ryan, Levi, Kyle, Bo, and Kindra; great-grandchildren, Payton, Kaliber, Logan, Lane, Kadin, Mariah, Lakatah, Kyrah, and Taylor. Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Bartrom, and sisters, Alama Roemelen of Bettsville, OH, and Faye Montgomery of West Virginia. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory may want to consider a hospice of their choice.
