Jack L. Knous, 84, of Catawba Island died Monday, July 2, 2018 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born March 25, 1934 in Toledo, OH the son of Jesse Chester and Kathryn (Barnt) Knous. He married Joyce Kimberlin on May 28, 1960 and she survives. Mr. Knous was a tool & die maker working at Ford Motor Co., Doehler Jarvis and Modern Patern. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Surviving are his wife: Joyce; daughters: Jill (Kevin) Kimmet of Port Clinton, Joy (David) Downing of Norwalk; grandchildren: Erin (Brett) Robinson of Sandusky, Kelly (Travis) Bollinger of Clyde, Jonathon (Sarah) Downing of Norwalk, Ashley (Zach Smith) Kimmet of Sandusky; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters: Franchin (William) Wise of Florida, Susan (Richard) Machinski of Florida, and Diane (George) Buck of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson: Elliot Downing; brother: Jerry Knous and sister: Sharon Knous. Private funeral services were held Friday, July 6, 2018 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Interment was in Catawba Island Cemetery.
