Irvin Baker, Jr., 89, of Marblehead, OH died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born July 17, 1926 in Greenville, OH the son of Irvin and Dora Alice (Inman) Baker, Sr. He married Myra K. Condon on August 8, 1948 and she survives. Mr. Baker worked as an auto mechanic at various dealerships in the Dayton area and then worked at Foster Chevy when he moved to Marblehead, OH. He retired from American Crayon in 1992 where he was a maintenance Millwright. He enjoyed fixing mechanical things and he restored cars, motorcycles and boats. He loved having a project. Irvin and Myra served the Lord after their conversion in 1982. They were members of Bible Methodist Church, Port Clinton and helped build a church and transported people to and from church. Surviving are his wife: Myra; daughters: Janet Hughes of Sandusky, Jennifer Davis of Dayton, OH; son: Stephen B. "Steve" Baker of Colorado; grandchildren: Christina, Brian, Russell, Angela, Darlene, Steve, Jack, Amanda, Darrell, Ben, and Daniel; several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Wayne E. "Ed" Baker, son-in-law: John R. Davis, grandchild: Sondra Renee, brothers: Dave Baker, Marvin Baker, sisters: Margarite Pearson, Bonita Crawford, Dolores Royer, Rachel Harter and her husband Maurice. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. LakesideMarblehead, OH where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Rev. Deron E. Fourman is officiating the services. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
