Irene M. Bloom, 92 of Oak Harbor, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Riverview Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor. She was born April 21, 1917 in Toledo, OH to the late Frank and Mary (Gocsi) Marko. On September 14, 1933 she married Lyle Bloom who preceded her in death September 1, 1982. Irene worked for the former J. Weller Company in Oak Harbor then on the production line for General Motors in Sandusky, OH, from which she retired. She was a member of the Oak Harbor's Skippers and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Survivors include her children: Marilyn (Clark) Lieske and Jim (Vicki) Bloom both of Oak Harbor, brother Julius Marko of Genoa, OH; grandchildren: Tammy Nietz, Christopher and Timothy Bloom; great- grandchildren: Brian and Brad (Jenn) Nietz, Austin Velliquette, Rachel and Adam Bloom. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Bloom, sisters: Helen Zipfel and Mary Peters, and granddaughter, Sherry Lieske. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with the Rev. David Tinker officiating. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
