Irene F. Thompson

Irene F. Thompson, 64, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on October 9, 1946 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Irene (Walling) White. She was a housekeeper at various hotels in Port Clinton and also worked at Goodwill. She was a member of Chapel On The Lake Church in Lakeside-Marblehead. Her hobbies included reading mystery books and also solving word games. Survivors include her sisters: Sandra (Kenneth) Leach, of St. Cloud, FL; Cheryl (Timothy) Wigmore, of Duxbury, MA; borthers: Robert (Barbara) White, of Hanson, MA; Brian (Nancy) White, of South Weymouth, MA; Donald (Paula) White, of Pembroke, MA; aunt: June Chapman, of Marblehead, OH; many cousins, nieces, neph, ews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepmother: Dorothy E. White; and grandparents: Burton and Mildred White. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 7:00pm at the Chapel On The Lake Church, 199 S. Bridge Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio 43440.
